SmoothShapes is an FDA-approved, non-invasive Photomology treatment that targets and reduces cellulite. Photomology is a technology that combines laser and LED light energy, vacuum technology, and contoured rollers to melt fat tissue and smooth out the skin. It improves collagen production to boost elasticity, enhance the structure, and tighten the
skin.

A SmoothShapes session usually lasts 15-30 minutes. Patients need to wear protective eyewear during the treatment.

The device is massaged over the required areas, including the thighs, legs, buttocks, back, and stomach. The light energy helps shape the skin and makes the fat cells more permeable. The next step is the laser which targets and dissolves the fat tissues. A vacuum then transports the melted fat away and filters it out through the lymphatic system.

The treatment is painless and feels like a warm massage. There is no downtime involved with this procedure.

It is safe for all skin types. Patients may experience some redness and feel a slight tingling sensation in the treated areas after the treatment that subsides quickly.  Be sure to drink  plenty of water after the procedure to help flush out the fat.  For more noticeable results, a total of eight SmoothShapes treatments will be needed. They can be performed once or twice a week, with results gradually improving over 3 to 6 months. SmoothShapes is known to provide lasting results compared to other cellulite treatments. It also helps to improve blood circulation. For prolonged results, doctors recommend an annual maintenance treatment.
