Jeuveau is most commonly known as Newtox. This anti-aging injectable treatment can treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is FDA-approved to treat and smooth out moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines. Jeuveau can also be used to treat lines on the nose, chin wrinkles, crow's feet around the eyes, a gummy smile, lip lines, and even neck folds.
Jeuveau works similarly to Botox. It is a neuromodulator that temporarily blocks communication between the nerves and muscles. Once injected into the area, muscle contraction reduces, limiting the formation of lines. The injectable can also smooth out existing wrinkles on the face.
Jeuveau also works well as a preventative treatment for younger patients who wish to avoid the appearance of fine lines. It contains a higher potency, purified form of botulinum toxin A.
