Fastbraces are a quicker alternative to traditional metal braces. They can also straighten and align the teeth for a better smile. Unlike conventional braces, Fastbraces are designed to shorten the treatment period to 100 days. This is much faster than the two years required for standard braces.

The process of straightening teeth using traditional braces requires a two-step plan. The first stage is shifting the crowns or tops of the teeth into the desired position. After this, the roots of the teeth can be moved.

Fastbraces can shift the crown and root together in just a single process to minimize the entire treatment period. Besides a faster treatment duration, there are some other upsides, too. With Fastbraces, no extractions are required. It is less painful than traditional braces and requires fewer orthodontic visits.

Not everyone is a good candidate for Fastbraces, though. It is only suitable for mild to moderate misalignment cases and is not effective on more severe crowding issues. Dentists usually use this treatment on the top front teeth or if the patient’s bite does not need treatment.

Two elements make up the Fastbraces treatment. The first part is the brackets and wires. Unlike the traditional square-shaped brackets, Fastbraces have triangular brackets. This specific shape enables Fastbraces to move both the crown and root simultaneously and gently. The second element is the subsonic and phototherapy treatments. This therapy helps to accelerate the movement of teeth to their final position.

The sessions help to stimulate specific cells in the body that are responsible for the removal and deposition of bone. The treatment helps the arches change shape faster and shortens the whole process.

Once the treatment is complete, patients receive a customized retainer. These post-treatment retainers only need to be worn 15-20 minutes a day to maintain the alignment of the straightened teeth.
