Neo laser is a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser that treats various skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, scarring, and ingrown hair. Besides these treatments, the Neo laser is also used as a hair removal solution.

The laser is suitable for different body parts, from the back to the bikini line.

The Neo laser technology uses energy to target the melanin pigment in the hair follicles to reduce hair growth. It is one of the safest lasers on the market, suitable for darker skin tones. It emits a shorter pulse rate of 650 microseconds, enabling it to cool down for a more comfortable experience.

Before treatment, patients should avoid injectables, chemical peels, sunbathing, tanning and waxing. Patients with sensitive skin should stop using chemical products and perfume pre and post-treatment. They must also stop taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication or aspirin before the treatment.

The session itself is quick and easy. The provider moves the handheld device over the targeted area. It is best to target the hair in its growing phase, so it is recommended to schedule your sessions 3-4 weeks apart. Since the laser targets the pigment in the hair follicles, it makes it effective in treating ingrown hairs or razor bumps. It is a very precise system that causes minimal side effects and pain. It doesn't require a cooling attachment, unlike other lasers.

After a Neo laser procedure, patients may experience mild redness, which will subside shortly. Patients can also apply moisturizers to soothe the skin. They must wear quality SPF sunscreen to avoid harsh UV rays during recovery.

For optimal results, a total of 6 treatments, performed every 3-4 weeks, are required.  After every session, patients will notice a gradual decrease in hair growth, with the new hairs finer and lighter.
