Many treatments on the market use radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate the skin and improve cellulite. Cellulite is caused by a build-up of fat underneath the skin that protrudes due to skin laxity between fibrous bands connecting the skin to the muscles. These treatments generally work the same way. They heat the dermal layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production to strengthen and smooth out the skin while destroying excess fat.

EndyMed 3Deep is a cellulite treatment suitable for all skin types and tones. As the skin heats up, your body produces collagen that tightens and smooths out cellulite dimples. The session takes less than 30 minutes. A topical anesthetic will be applied to ease discomfort. Patients may experience red and swollen skin after the treatment. Some results are visible immediately, but others will appear over time as new collagen is continually produced. Doctors recommended up to 10 sessions for optimal results.

JuvaShape works similarly. It can be used on the face, neck, and chest to tighten the skin or on the thighs and stomach to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The procedure requires no anesthetic and is relatively painless. Patients might experience a hot sensation from the heating of the skin. Results are temporary, and doctors recommend six treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart for optimal effects.

Thermage is another skin tightening treatment that can reduce the appearance of cellulite. It is suitable for patients of all skin tones but is ideal for candidates experiencing early signs of aging and mild cellulite. The treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the area size. Patients will feel a slight vibration and minimal pain. Results are noticeable after one session, and doctors may recommend maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

TriPollar heats the tissues to shrink fat cells and tighten the tissues with no downtime needed. Patients can continue the treatment with home devices, which will improve the effects of the clinical treatment. Each session lasts up to 45 minutes, and eight sessions are required for optimal results. Doctors recommend maintenance treatments every 3-6 months.

VelaShape can help contour the skin and fades cellulite by combining infrared light with radiofrequency treatments. A typical procedure takes 20-30 minutes as the device gently massages and heats the skin. Patients will need 3-6 sessions with maintenance sessions every year for effective results.
